Police have recovered a firearm believed to have been stolen from the San Fernando Municipal Police Station and detained three men during an anti-crime exercise in St James.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said officers of the Western Division Task Force and the Western Division Gang Investigation Unit made the discovery during Operation Steady G.U.A.R.D on Monday between 12 pm and 3 pm.
According to the TTPS, officers searched premises along Upper Belle Vue Road, Long Circular, St James, under the Emergency Powers Regulations 2026. Three men were present at the location during the exercise.
