ARNETT Gardens FC arrive at the Jamaica Women’s Premier League semi-final stage with a point to prove and, according to Head Coach Garnett Lawrence, a mindset that goes well beyond simply being grateful for the occasion.
Saturday’s first leg against the Manchester-based Los Perfectos marks only the latest chapter in what Lawrence believes is a story of genuine, structural growth for the women’s programme.
“Reaching the semi-final stage is a major milestone for [the] Arnett Gardens women’s team; it’s the kind of achievement that signals real growth, not just a good season,” said Lawrence. “In women’s football, where structure, consistency, and support systems are still developing across many clubs, getting this far shows that Arnett’s female team is building something solid. It means the players are not only talented, but disciplined, organised, and capable of competing under pressure.”
