THE Office of the Attorney General has conceded that over the past ten years, former FIFA vice-president Jack Warner had been unlawfully facing extradition proceedings to the United States.
This is because a key document that was required to support the extradition request from the US is non-existent and given this, the State has asked the High Court to permanently stay the legal proceedings against Warner.
The admission was made yesterday before Justice Karen Reid, marking a significant turn in the decade-long legal battle.
