IT is now official.
The extradition proceedings against former FIFA vice president Jack Warner have been permanently stayed by the High Court, bringing an end to his long-running legal battle against being sent to the United States.
In a ruling delivered yesterday afternoon, High Court Justice Karen Reid declared that Warner’s constitutional rights to the protection of the law had been breached by the State given the absence of a key document that was required to support the extradition request, making the proceedings flawed.
