The Uni­ver­si­ty of Trinidad and To­ba­go (UTT) has signed a Mem­o­ran­dum of Un­der­stand­ing with the Car­bon Ze­ro In­sti­tute of Trinidad and To­ba­go (CZITT) to es­tab­lish a frame­work for col­lab­o­ra­tion in ed­u­ca­tion, re­search, in­no­va­tion and tech­no­log­i­cal de­vel­op­ment.

The agree­ment out­lines op­por­tu­ni­ties for stu­dents and fac­ul­ty, in­clud­ing in­tern­ships, ap­plied re­search and project-based train­ing. It al­so pro­vides for joint re­search ini­tia­tives, knowl­edge ex­change and com­mer­cial­i­sa­tion of tech­nolo­gies de­vel­oped through col­lab­o­ra­tion.

Un­der the arrange­ment, the in­sti­tu­tions will work to ad­vance in­no­va­tion and dig­i­tal in­fra­struc­ture in Trinidad and To­ba­go and strength­en link­ages be­tween acad­e­mia and in­dus­try.
