The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tobago House of Assembly’s (THA) Division of Food Security, Natural Resources, the Environment, and Sustainable Development.
According to UTT, the agreement aims to strengthen research and education-based initiatives that support local communities and national development.
The THA’s Division of Food Security, Natural Resources, the Environment, and Sustainable Development oversees Tobago’s agro-based products, as well as efforts to improve agricultural production on the island. UTT said its Biosciences, Agriculture, and Food Technology programmes will provide technical support to agriculture practitioners and contribute to the development of food and agricultural entrepreneurs.
