The U.S. Navy hosÂpiÂtal ship USNS ComÂfort will visÂit Trinidad and ToÂbaÂgo from AuÂgust 5 to 11 as part of the ConÂtinÂuÂing Promise 2025 misÂsion. The vesÂsel will be moored in Port-of-Spain.
MedÂical teams from the USNS ComÂfort will work with the MinÂistry of Health and loÂcal health proÂfesÂsionÂals to proÂvide free medÂical serÂvices from AuÂgust 7 to 9 at the NaÂtionÂal AcadÂeÂmy for the PerÂformÂing Arts in Port-of-Spain. SerÂvices will inÂclude adult and peÂdiÂatric care, denÂtal serÂvices, opÂtomÂeÂtry, physÂiÂcal therÂaÂpy, and derÂmaÂtolÂogy.
ClinÂics will opÂerÂate from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on a first-come, first-served baÂsis. No pre-regÂisÂtraÂtion is reÂquired. PaÂtients are adÂvised to bring naÂtionÂal idenÂtiÂfiÂcaÂtion if posÂsiÂble. Each conÂsulÂtaÂtion will adÂdress one medÂical isÂsue per paÂtient. PaÂtients may reÂturn for adÂdiÂtionÂal conÂsulÂtaÂtions.
