Speaking at the UNC's congress meeting and one-year anniversary celebrations in Couva yesterday, Persad-Bissessar noted that citizens have been asking about her Government's crime plan.
She said there is no traditional crime plan, but rather an 'anti-crime' plan which has delivered results, with murders and serious crimes declining over the past 12 months due to reforms, including the restructuring of the Ministry of National Security.
She also defended the imposition of states of emergency (SoEs), stating they are to protect citizens.
