Shai Hope-led West In­dies, buoyed by their unas­sail­able 2-0 lead, will be push­ing for a dom­i­nant 3-0 se­ries white­wash against Bangladesh in the fi­nal T20 In­ter­na­tion­al (T20I) at Chat­togram, Bangladesh, to­day. For the home side, the third match presents a fi­nal chance to sal­vage pride and find a much-need­ed vic­to­ry.

Hope ac­knowl­edged that while the se­ries win is a huge boost, their per­for­mance in the sec­ond T20I—where they col­lapsed af­ter a strong start and fin­ished with a "con­cerned" score of 149—was less than ide­al.

"Def­i­nite­ly con­cerned (about 149). When we spoke at the halfway stage, we thought 190 or even 200 was on. But cred­it to the bowlers, that they gave us that win... We will want to fin­ish 3-0 and go to NZ on a high," said Hope said in his post-match in­ter­view.
