The West Indies hopes of winning the One Day Series against Sri Lanka were dashed on Saturday with rain forcing an abandonment of the second One Day International in Jamaica.
The West Indies won the toss and decided to field against Sri Lanka in the second One Day International at Sabina Park in Kingston.
Skipper Shai Hope felt that with the possibility of evening showers the decision to let the tourists bat first was the right one. Unfortunately, the rains came earlier than expected in Jamaica with the match being abandoned without a ball being bowled.
