Two men escaped being shot to death in Barataria after they jumped into a nearby drain and hid.

Around 10.15 pm on April 8, a 44-year-old Morvant man was walking along Eighth Avenue and when he reached his gate, he saw two men running towards him.

One of the men shot at him several times and he ran into his yard at the back of the house.
