One man is hospitalised in a stable condition following a shooting incident in Morvant on Wednesday.
According to a police report, around 10.10 p.m. officers the Morvant Police Station responded to a report of loud explosions heard at Industrial Road Morvant, which was broadcasted via the wireless set from Command Centre. The party of officers on arrival found a white coloured Nissan Tiida registration number parked along the road with a 39-year-old man from Morvant seated in the driver seat with an injury to his neck and a 23-year-old woman, also from Morvant seated in the passenger seat.
The woman reported that she was having a conversation with the man at Industrial Road Morvant in his car with all windows up when the suspect approached the vehicle from the driver’s side, pointing a firearm in their direction. The victims became fearful for their lives and the man locked all doors on the vehicle.
