There was one moment of cooperation with Kamla Persad-Bissessar that Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley recalls with some fondness, and that was when they attended the funeral of former South African president Nelson Mandela together and he “pretended” to be Persad-Bissessar’s husband.
When they went to South Africa, Persad-Bissessar was prime minister and Rowley was opposition leader.
According to Rowley, there was a viewing of the body and people were allowed to view in order of rank.
