One man is cur­rent­ly hos­pi­talised fol­low­ing a shoot­ing in Laven­tille ear­li­er to­day.

The vic­tim, who was iden­ti­fied as a res­i­dent of Blan­chisseuse, was said to be in the com­pa­ny of two oth­er rel­a­tives, in a car near Hamel Smith Street, Laven­tille, around noon.

It is al­leged that gun­men opened fire on the ve­hi­cle while they were dri­ving, hit­ting one of the oc­cu­pants.
