A 23-year-old man was stabbed to death in Diego Martin early Tuesday morning.

The victim, identified as Akeel of Success, Laventille, was discovered around 12.36 a.m. lying on the ground at Savannah #1 Terrace with a stab wound to the back of his neck.

Police officers responded to a report of a wounding and found the victim bleeding heavily and unresponsive. He was taken by ambulance to the St James Infirmary, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 1.12 a.m.
