Police are investigating an armed robbery in which four men, dressed in camouflage and claiming to be Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force personnel, stole cash from two residents of Maloney Gardens.

Around 10:45 p.m. the victims were on the second floor of Building 12 with other residents when four masked men in full TTDF uniforms approached them. The assailants identified themselves as soldiers but refused to show official ID.

The men ordered everyone to the ground, then took $6,000 in cash from one victim and $1,000 from the other, before fleeing in a marked TTDF vehicle (5TTR275) onto the Churchill Roosevelt Highway.
