Police are investigating a frightening robbery in Maraval on Wednesday in which five men posing as landscapers entered a home, assaulted three people and escaped with a large quantity of cash and valuables.
The incident occurred around 11.30 a.m. at a residence in Fairways Close, Maraval. According to police, the homeowner was at the property with a gardener and housekeeper when five men, dressed in green coveralls and claiming to be from a landscaping company, entered the premises.
One of the men, armed with a firearm, ordered the gardener to the ground. Another suspect reportedly beat and restrained him with tie-straps before stealing his mobile phone.
