Security guard charged with murder of Arima man

A 34-year-old Wallerfield security guard has appeared before the High Court charged with the murder of a 33-year-old Arima man who was fatally stabbed during an incident at a bar last month.
Emerald Guy appeared before Master of the High Court Lisa Singh-Phillip last Friday charged with the murder of Calvin James.
During the court hearing, Singh-Phillip set a Sufficiency Hearing for January 13, 2027. Two Status Hearings were also scheduled for September 28, 2026, and October 30, 2026.
