Law enforcement officials have successfully charged three men in connection with separate murder cases across Trinidad.
In a media release, the TTPS said in Port of Spain, 35-year-old Juman Ali Sahadath appeared before a Master of the High Court for the murder of nine-year-old Aneilia Butler. The incident, which occurred on February 23rd, 2022, saw Butler trapped in a fire at her Beetham Gardens home.
The Trinidad and Tobago Fire Services responded, but she was found deceased in her room. Following extensive investigations, Sahadath was arrested on March 28th, 2025, and charged on March 5th, 2025, after advice from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC.
