Russian deputy permanent representative to the United Nationsā (UN) Security Council Dmitry Polyanskiy yesterday expressed deep concern over what he called a ādangerous escalationā in the Caribbean, as the United States continues its lethal military strikes on alleged drug-carrying vessels in the region.
Polyanskiy posted to his X account that Russia (which remains at war with Ukraine) rejects āwarmongeringā and referred to the boat strikes as āunlawfulā.
āWe are all deeply concerned by the dangerous escalation in the Caribbean. The US is continuing its military build-up along the shores of Venezuela and unlawful strikes against alleged drug boats,ā he wrote.
