The US has struck yet another alleged “drug carrying vessel” killing two yesterday.
But the strike is the first of its kind that did not occur within the Caribbean, this time carried out in the Eastern Pacific.
According to US Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, the strike occurred on a vessel operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization and conducting narco-trafficking in the Eastern Pacific. The vessel, he said in a post to his X account, was known by US intelligence to be involved in illicit narcotics smuggling, was transiting along a known narco-trafficking transit route.
