THE narco-submarine in which Able Seaman (AB) Kieron Simon, of the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard (TTCG), went missing on February 20 after boarding it as part of a multinational drug operation has been located.
And while the next step to retrieve the vessel is being worked out, the three Colombian nationals who were handed over to police officers of the Western Division were interviewed by US law enforcement agents some time last Wednesday, several intelligence and police sources confirmed.
If authorities are able to locate any of the illicit drugs from the wreckage, the suspects can face drug trafficking charges in this jurisdiction.
