Tuesday marked 32 days since Able Seaman Kieron Simon was reported missing during a drug-bust exercise with members of the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard (TTCG).
In a social media post, Simon's brother, Kevlon Simon, said that his family has spent the past month in a state of pain, uncertainty and unanswered questions.
'My brother Kieron was not just a name on a roster. He was a son, a brother, a father, a cousin, a friend, and a dedicated servant to his country. With 18 years o f service, he started off as a cadet and in 2009 worked his way up diligently to becoming a Coast Guard, embodying discipline, courage and leadership. My brother trained young cadets as well as new recruits entering the Coast Guard, ensuring they were ready to serve and protect our nation's waters. My brother's dedication was never questioned; he lived and breathed service. And now, when he needs that same dedication in return, where is it?' Kevlon asked.
