THREE out of five men who escaped from the Immigration Detention Centre (IDC), located off the Eastern Main Road, Carapo, on Tuesday have been recaptured.

Police said that around 3 p.m. on Tuesday the five men, Christian Jose Rivero Parades, 28; Samuel Eduardo Gonzalez Rodriguez, 20; Leirzer Omar Meza Font; Jhonatan Jesus Carreno; and Miguel Sanchez, who had been detained at the IDC, were reported missing.

Officials at the centre carried out an initial search, but quickly called the police afterwards when there appeared to be no sign of the five men.
