Venezuelan escapee recaptured by police

POLICE have recaptured one of the eight men who escaped from the Immigration Detention Centre (IDC) in Arima on Saturday.
Venezuelan national Edinson Maltin Alcala Larosa, police said, was tracked to Hilda Trace, Arouca, during an operation titled 'Resolute Shield' comprising a team of officers and coordinated by Snr Supt Vernly Gift.
Police said that before his recapture they had been carrying out surveillance on a galvanized-sheet house off Hilda Trace and when they saw him on Tuesday afternoon he was immediately apprehended.
