A businessman from Alexander Street, Georgetown, was taken into custody after he reportedly attempted to kidnap an individual on Tuesday.
Police in a release stated that ranks, acting on information received, conducted an operation during which a 36-year-old businessman from Alexander Village, Georgetown, allegedly made arrangements and handed over a quantity of cash as part payment to have a male kidnapped.
As such, he was taken into custody. A quantity of cash was lodged as investigations continue.
