A teenager and a 25-year-old man were arrested in connection with an armed robbery committed against a 20-year-old auto body technician in Covent Garden New Scheme, East Bank Demerara (EBD), on Monday.

Based on reports received, the victim was walking in the Covent Garden New Scheme with his cellular phone in his hand when two males on a motorcycle approached him from behind.

One of the suspects, who was reportedly armed with a handgun, dismounted the motorcycle, held the victim at gunpoint, and relieved him of his cell phone before escaping with his accomplice.
