A man has been sen­tenced to a lit­tle over three years in prison af­ter ad­mit­ting to sex­u­al­ly as­sault­ing a woman dur­ing a home in­va­sion in 2017.

Er­ic Car­ring­ton plead­ed guilty to griev­ous sex­u­al as­sault in June but was on­ly re­cent­ly sen­tenced by High Court Judge Gail Gon­za­les.

Car­ring­ton was ac­cused of at­tack­ing the vic­tim on Sep­tem­ber 22, 2017.
