UNLIKE the $171 million drug bust in the Caroni Swamp, police have not credited a second $56 million seizure in Point Fortin to the work of the radar in Tobago.
All Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro would say is “most definitely technology played a major role” in the second bust.
In approximately 24 hours police seized almost 2.2 tonnes of marijuana valued at $227.2 million in separate busts with the first in Caroni between Wednesday night and Thursday morning and the second in Point Fortin on Thursday evening.
