(Kaieteur News) – Police are investigating a suspected Trafficking in Persons (TIP) case following an operation conducted on Wednesday, 4th November, 2026, in Bartica, Region Seven.
Acting on information that a Cuban female national was allegedly being held against her will, ranks from Regional Police Division No. 7 proceeded to a location in Bartica, where they found 14 Cuban female nationals.
During the operation, a 33-year-old Cuban male national was arrested in connection with the matter.
