STATE agencies are moving to tighten control over domestic LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders following a series of gas tank explosions at homes that have left four people dead for the year thus far.
The disclosure was made by acting Chief Fire Officer Andy Hutchinson during a phone interview on Tuesday.
He reported that last week Wednesday there was a meeting with several stakeholders, including representatives from Ramco Gas Industries Ltd (Ramco) and National Petroleum Marketing Company Ltd (NP), the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service (TTFS), Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards (TTBS), Customs and Excise Division, and representatives from the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries.
