A Debe woman tragically lost her life after suffering severe burns following a cooking gas cylinder explosion that occurred in her home almost two months ago.

The death of Ria George has left her family, her employer, co-workers, and her neighbours in shock and mourning.

George, 47, of Diggity Trace, died on September 27 at the San Fernando General Hospital, where she was being treated for extensive burns she suffered since the incident seven weeks ago.
