Armed bandits stormed the Taxi-Corp Service Station on Milford Road, Scarborough, around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, making off with more than $43,000 in cash after robbing employees gathered in a meeting room.
Police said three men entered the office and announced a hold-up. One of the men, armed with a firearm, ordered staff to hand over their cellphones before ransacking the office.
The suspects found $8,504.33 in salary proceeds and $35,357.72 from the day’s sales, a total of $43,862.05, before escaping through a nearby drain into a bushy area north of the compound.
