Masked gunman robs cop of $600,000 in gold chains

(Kaieteur News) – A member of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) was robbed at gunpoint of two gold chains valued at $600,000 on Tuesday night at Britton Street, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara.
The victim is an 18-year-old Police Constable from the area.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the rank was socialising with a few friends when he was approached by an unidentified, masked male armed with a handgun.
