UNITED NATIONAL Congress (UNC) candidate for Tunapuna Roger Alexander says he resigned as a senior police officer to join the UNC because Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s vision for a safer Trinidad and Tobago aligned with his own.
Alexander led a walkabout in Tunapuna yesterday, starting at Maingot Road as the party rolled out its election campaign in what is considered a marginal seat.
He was announced as the candidate last Saturday during a UNC meeting.
