Flow Jamaica is again calling for stronger laws, meaningful penalties and consistent enforcement to deter the deliberate destruction of critical telecommunications infrastructure.
This after the company on Thursday reported that it has fully restored services to all customers affected by Wednesday’s act of vandalism against its network infrastructure. The incident impacted residents of Stony Hill, Red Hills and surrounding communities.
“The incident caused extensive damage to several fibre lines, disrupting broadband, landline, and cable services. Following intensive repair work by Flow’s technical teams, all affected services are now fully operational,” the company said in a release. Flow expressed appreciation to its technical teams for their urgency to repair the damaged infrastructure.
