The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) continues to remain silent about the expiration of contracts of 72 of its staff, which would leave it with approximately 40 staff until 2025.
However, an anonymous source at the CCC informed Newsday on July 31 that the contracts had been renewed for another month. This would be the second one-month extension for the workers.
Newsday visited the CCC training facility on Mausica Road where MILAT trainees were preparing for an event.
