Teen detained in murder, says he was defending female relative

POLICE have detained a 16-year-old boy who allegedly stabbed to death a man attacking a woman on Friday.
The boy was detained by homicide detectives investigating the killing of Akil Sylvester, 36, a labourer, of Trainline in Marabella.
A woman and the teenager went to the Couva police station and told detectives around 2 p.m., she was entering her vehicle when Sylvester also sat in there.
