A 17-year-old boy remains in police custody in connection with the killing of a Golconda father, while a 40-year-old relative who was also detained has since been released.

Homicide investigators are continuing enquiries into the death of 45-year-old father of two, Rajkumar Pope, who died hours after being beaten during an altercation at a shop in his community on Thursday evening.

Police said the suspects are relatives of a teenage girl who was found dead in South Trinidad last year, a development now forming part of the broader investigation.
