Investigations are continuing into the death of a four-year-old girl in Sea Lots on Thursday afternoon.
Police said the child’s stepfather discovered she was not breathing and called an ambulance. Emergency Health Service (EHS) workers took the girl and her stepfather to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope, where staff attempted to resuscitate her but were unsuccessful. She was declared dead at 6.07 pm.
Officers from Besson Street Police Station subsequently visited Pioneer Drive, Sea Lots, to speak with the girl’s stepfather but were unable to locate him after they arrived at the location.
