A 58-YEAR-OLD Central businessman was picked up by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) after he was released by kidnappers on Wednesday night.
The victim, identified as Freeport businessman Suraj Ramlakhan, was found in Carapichaima after he was released around 10.30 p.m.
A $1 million ransom was demanded for his safe release. However, authorities did not disclose whether it was paid.
