The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA) says the De­sali­na­tion Com­pa­ny of Trinidad and To­ba­go (De­sal­cott) will be con­duct­ing emer­gency elec­tri­cal re­pair works at their fa­cil­i­ty to­day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Dur­ing this pe­ri­od, wa­ter de­liv­ery from De­sal­cott to the WASA will be re­duced to 20-24 mil­lion gal­lons per day, down from the usu­al 40 mil­lion gal­lons per day.

The de­sali­na­tion plant, which is owned and op­er­at­ed by De­sal­cott, sup­plies wa­ter to the Point Lisas In­dus­tri­al Es­tate and aug­ments sup­ply to sev­er­al ar­eas in Cen­tral and South West Trinidad.
