The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA) says emer­gency elec­tri­cal re­pair works at the De­sali­na­tion Com­pa­ny of Trinidad and To­ba­go (De­sal­cott) have been com­plet­ed ahead of sched­ule.

In a state­ment, WASA said full wa­ter pro­duc­tion has been re­stored to de­liv­ery of 40 mil­lion gal­lons per day as of 11:00 am to­day.

WASA said to fur­ther mit­i­gate the im­pact of the tem­po­rary re­duc­tion in wa­ter sup­ply, De­sal­cott has pro­posed in­creas­ing pro­duc­tion to 41 mil­lion gal­lons per day be­tween 11:00 am and 8:00 pm to­day.
