Comedian Gervail Sean Lemo, known as Jr Lee, has expanded his performances to international stages, taking his brand of Caribbean humour to audiences in Canada and the wider region.
Jr Lee recently performed in Toronto alongside comedian Jean Paul, in Grenada with C4 Promotions, and in Barbados with MT Concepts. He said his experiences showed that Caribbean stories connect across borders.
“Two years ago, I dreamed of travelling like the soca artists and performers I admired,” Jr Lee said. “When we announced those international shows, I was nervous, would they understand me? But the truth is, our Caribbean stories are universal. Seeing audiences laugh together across borders, that’s priceless.”
