The Film Commission at Global Trinidad and Tobago is congratulating local actor and comedian Jr Lee (Gervail Lemo) for his growing international profile after his role in the Canadian comedy The Office Movers helped secure the show’s renewal for a third season.
The Commission said it supported his work visa application for the project, describing his rise from local stages to a North American television series as a significant moment for the creative sector. Film Commissioner Leslie Ann Wills-Caton said the visibility introduces foreign audiences to Trinidad and Tobago’s culture and strengthens the export potential of creative services.
She said international placements deepen soft diplomacy and create openings for tourism and commercial partnerships, adding that projects like The Office Movers bring global attention to the country’s cultural identity.
