A simple funeral was held at a chapel in Penal last evening, to say goodbye to Brithanny Linnett Yaneth Leon Palacios, the six-year-old Venezuelan girl who died in a tragic boating accident last weekend.
About a dozen Venezuelan nationals, wearing jerseys with the child's photograph, gathered at Boodoo's Funeral Home where a service was held in memory of the child.
Her body draped in a princess gown and tiara and her favourite stuffed toys placed at her side brought tears to the mourners. Family members in Venezuela joined on video, and sang hymns as red roses were placed in the child's coffin.Â
