More than 800 people, mostly from Trinidad and Tobago, will receive free prosthetic limbs from India over a period of 50 days.
So said founder and chief patron of the Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS) Jaipur Foot organisation Davendra Raj Mehta, during the inauguration of the Artificial Limb Fitment Camp in T&T at the Diplomatic Centre, St Ann’s, yesterday.
He said amputees were the most distressed segment of societies.
