Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar says the People’s National Movement (PNM) is not truly representative of all the people, as not one East Indian was chosen to contest a PNM “safe seat”.
The Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union (OWTU) has selected former secretary general of the Communication Workers’ Union (CWU) Clyde Elder to contest the La Brea seat, and OWTU vice-president Ernesto Kesar to fight the Point Fortin seat under a United National Congress (UNC) ticket.
