THIRTY-THREE days before the general election, the United National Congress (UNC) still has to announce its full slate of candidates.

On Monday night, political leader Kamla Persad- Bissessar named 18 of the candidates for the 39 seats the party will be contesting.

Persad-Bissessar had stated previously that the UNC would not contest either of the two Tobago seats, as she believed the people of Tobago 'should be the ones to choose who they wish to govern from the parties in Tobago'.
