When the general election date was announced by Prime Minister Stuart Young on Tuesday, the United National Congress (UNC) had only 11 confirmed candidates.
However, UNC chairman Davendranath Tancoo said yesterday that the party was “mission-ready” and the UNC would be presenting the remaining candidates “shortly”.
Responding to questions from the Express via WhatsApp, Tancoo said, “The UNC has already announced 11 candidates and will be presenting the rest of our candidates shortly.
